Jolene Bean was born & raised in Somerset, Bermuda. Her love for photography began when she received her first Brownie camera. Over the years, she has photographed a variety of subjects, but her passion revolves around capturing Bermuda's cultural landscape. Her aim is to draw attention to who we are as Bermudians. She recently retired from her position as History Professor at Bermuda College, & there is no doubt that her historical background has influenced who she is as a photographer.
She has exhibited her photographs at the Bermuda Society of Arts, & has won awards for her outstanding work. She is also a former board member of the Society.
